Single Knee to Chest Picture

Lying on your back with your legs straight, bend your right knee, interlock your fingers, and place your hands below your kneecap. Keeping elbows close to your body and shoulders relaxed on the floor, pull your right knee into your chest, until you feel a good stretch. Keeping your left calf on the floor, every muscle in your body is relaxed except your biceps. Your biceps are the only muscles you use to pull your knee to your chest.

(Ultimately you want to touch your knee to your chest while keeping the calf of your opposite leg touching the ground.)

Hold the stretch until the tension in the muscle group is relaxed, this may take approximately 20 to 45 seconds, then release.

Repeat the stretch two to three times, then repeat with your left leg.
