Ingredients

Non-fat cooking spray

1 cup all-purpose white flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 cup wheat germ

1/2 cup Splenda no calorie sweetener
(We used the box that measures cup for cup like sugar.)

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. ground ginger

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp. ground cloves

1 cup fat free milk

1/4 cup Cary's sugar free syrup

2 Tbsp. light corn syrup

2 large egg whites

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Cut up the bars and serve them with low-fat ice cream for a real treat.

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray the trays of an 8-mini-loaf baking pan with fat-free cooking spray.

2. Pour the nine dry ingredients, flour through ground cloves in a bowl and mix them together.

3. In a seperate bowl whisk together the five wet ingredients, milk through vanilla extract. Then stir the wet and dry ingredients together.

4. Pour the batter evenly in each of the 8 trays. Bake for 15-17 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

5. Place on a wire rack and cool for 10 minutes before serving. This recipe is so low in fat, you can spray each serving with a fat free butter spray and the taste is rich and delicious!

Yield: 8 Servings
