1 can (8 oz.) no salt added tomato sauce

1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste

1 Tbsp. canola oil

2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar

3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup Cary's Sugar Free Syrup

1/4 cup Splenda
(We used the box that measures cup for cup like sugar.)

1/4 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 tsp. cinnamon, ground

1/8 tsp. allspice

1/2 tsp. black pepper, ground

1 tsp. salt


2 cups onion, chopped

1 cup carrots, sliced

1 large sweet potato (about 6" long or 6 oz.), cut into chunks

3 lbs. eye round steak, cut into chunks


Sweet & Sour Beef - Crock Pot (Slow Cooker)

1. Put the first twelve ingredients (tomato sauce through salt) in the crock pot and whisk together. Then stir in the remaining four ingredients until everything is thoroughly coated in the sauce.

2. Set a timer and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours. Stir once after 2 hours.

3. This makes 6 servings of sweet and tender beef.


Yield: 6 Servings


This is a Freezer Friendly Recipe!


You can freeze individual portions for easy re-heating later.

Make sure to freeze them in freezer safe containers.

Microwave for approximately 4-6 minutes, keeping the container open just a little to allow steam to escape.
