Ingredients
buttery cooking spray
1 (12.35 oz.) package sugar free brownie mix
(We used Pillsbury Sugar Free Brownie Mix Chocolate Fudge.)
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp. oil
1/3 cup fat free sour cream
6 Tbsp. Sugar free caramel
(We used Smucker’s Sugar Free Caramel Topping.)
1 egg
2 scoops (2/3 cup) vanilla protein powder
(We used GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey Vanilla Cream Protein Powder.)
Chocolate protein brownies that are virtually sugar free and with a hint of sweet caramel. Perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then lightly coat 8x8 inch baking pan with buttery cooking spray.
2. Mix together the remaining ingredients, NOT the ingredients on the box! (That’s the brownie mix, 1/4 cup water, 2 tablespoons oil, 1/3 cup fat free sour cream, 6 tablespoons sugar free caramel, 1 large whole egg and 2/3 cup protein powder.)
3. Spread the brownie mix into the prepared pan. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
4. Once cooled, cut into 9 pieces and serve.
