Ingredients


3 cups old fashioned oats

3 scoops (1 cup) vanilla protein powder
(We used GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey Vanilla Cream Protein Powder.)

1 cup Splenda or stevia

1 tsp. baking powder

1/4 cup cocoa powder
(We used Hershey's Cocoa Special Dark.)

2 Tbsp. sugar free syrup
(We used Cary's Sugar Free Low Calorie Syrup.)

1 Tbsp. butter, melted

4 large egg whites

2 cups fat free milk

1 cup unsweetened apple sauce

buttery cooking spray

4 Tbsp. dark chocolate chips
(We used Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips.)

4 Tbsp. no sugar added dark chocolate chips
(We used Ghirardelli No Sugar Added Dark Chocolate Chips.)


This is a great afternoon or after workout snack. When I'm in a hurry, I like to cut a serving up into small pieces and pour milk over it and eat like it's cereal. It tastes like an indulgence without going over my calorie budget.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Oats, protein powder, Splenda, baking powder and cocoa powder.

3. Mix together the wet ingredients in a bowl. Syrup, melted butter, egg whites, milk and apple sauce.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix to combine.

5. Spray a 9x13 casserole dish with buttery cooking spray. Then pour the brownie mix into the dish.

Pur the brownie mix into a 9x13 casserole dish.

6. Evenly spread the regular dark chocolate chips across the top of the brownie mix.

Sprinkle the regular chocolate chips across the top.

7. Evenly spread the sugar free chocolate chips across the top of the brownie mix.

Now put on the sugar free chocolate chips,

8. Push the chocolate chips into the brownie mix using a knife or spatula.

Use a spatula to push the chocolate chips into the batter.

9. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before cutting it into eight pieces.

10. You can eat each piece plain or put whipped cream on top.

You can freeze individual brownies for long-term storage. Make sure they're tightly sealed inside freezer-safe containers or bags.

Microwave each brownie for approximately 20-45 seconds. Put a damp towel over the brownie when re-heating to keep it moist.
