Ingredients


3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

3/4 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. cardamom, ground

1/2 tsp. cinnamon, ground

1/4 tsp. salt


2 large whole eggs

1 cup fat free milk (We use Fairlife Milk because it's lower in sugar and higher in protein.)

3/4 cup fat free sour cream

2 Tbsp. Splenda brown sugar blend, packed

1/2 cup Splenda or Stevia

2 Tbsp. butter, melted

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Waffles with a sweet taste and just the right amount of spice. We liked them even more by adding some Honey Tree Sugar Free Honey and Carey's Sugar Free Syrup.

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the first seven ingredients, flour through salt. Then in a second bowl, whisk together the next seven ingredients, eggs through vanilla extract.

2. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined.

3. Bake in a preheated waffle iron, according to manufacturer's instructions, until golden brown. I like to spray a little buttery cooking spray onto the waffle iron just to make sure they don't stick. Each waffle is approximately 1/2 a cup of material.

Yield: 7 Servings, 1/2 Cup Per Serving
