Ingredients

1/4 cup Edy's or Dryer's No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream

1 cup lowfat buttermilk

1 scoop (1/3 cup) protein powder
(We used GNC 100% Whey Protein Vanilla.)

1/4 cup ice

1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract

1 drop lemon extract

1 tsp. lemon peel, grated

1/3 tsp. (1/3 of a 0.14 oz. Packet) Crystal Light Lemonade drink powder - The Single Serving Packets

The buttermilk and ice cream blend together with the lemon for a shake that'll pucker you up. Plenty of protein and just enough sugar make this a great go-to shake for after your workout.

1. Combine everything in a blender or food processor and mix until smooth. Then pour into two serving glasses for an after workout blast or drink it all for a meal replacement. (You can use something other that Crystal Light Lemonade for the additional flavoring, we just found it was the one tasters liked best.)

2. If only drinking half, cover the other half and you can store it overnight in the refrigerator. Make sure to stir it before drinking the following day.

Yield: 2 Servings
