Ingredients
1 watermelon
(Each serving is 6 oz. of watermelon or about 1 cup.)
2 tsp. of ground cinnamon per cup of watermelon
1 lime
(The juice is to be sprinkled on top for a little extra zest.)
Try something new today: fresh, juicy watermelon sprinkled with cinnamon. It’s the best of both worlds, a taste of summer with a little cozy hint of winter. That cool watermelon sweetness and the warm, spicy aroma of cinnamon make a surprisingly perfect pair.
1. Start by cutting your watermelon in half, right through the middle.

2. Place one half cut-side down on your cutting board. With a sharp, large knife, cut it into evenly spaced slices about 1 1/2 inches wide. You’re making big “fingers.”

3. Now, rotate the watermelon 90° and slice again, making a criss-cross. You’ll end up with sturdy, easy-to-grab spears.

4. Arrange the watermelon pieces on a platter or tray.

5. Sprinkle each piece lightly with ground cinnamon (a little goes a long way!). For even flavor, hold the cinnamon a few inches above and tap it gently so the spice dusts evenly over all the slices.
Optional: For an extra-refreshing touch, chill the pieces before serving, or add a squeeze of lime for a zesty kick.
Yield: Multiple Servings Based on Watermelon Size
