Lie flat on the ground with your left hand extended back over your head. Bend your left knee at a 45 degree angle, drop your knee over your right thigh placing your right hand just above the left knee on your thigh for leverage. Gently pull your left knee toward the ground while keeping your left shoulder and arm flat on the floor for balance.
Hold the stretch until the tension in the muscle group is relaxed, this may take approximately 20 to 45 seconds.
Repeat twice then perform the stretch on the opposite side.
